Wool and Knitting

Postby peteroldracer » Mon Oct 29, 2012 4:52 pm

My OH is looking forward to the first great-grandchild in February (all being well) and has that usual mad knitting urge - we have found shops here in Torre del Mar and Nerja, but prices and range are as most things high and poor respectively.
Does anyone on here get wool and/or patterns sent from the UK, and who do they use please?
I would not trust that anything desirable sent using Correos would get here, so am looking for a courier-based service if possible.

Peter,
There are quite a few knitting circles / clubs around, not sure if any in your area, but worth checking out. They buy bulk and share the savings and are always useful for advice and patterns etc.

Hope this is of help , it's about time you took up a useful hobby.

Many years ago I did a bit of knitting as therapy for a broken wrist - I could manage a "Tom Baker" scarf, except that it went in and out as I dropped or split a stitch!

If she is after my balls (of wool) I will just have to not get the needle...it could be her name is Pearl but I think she would be Plain. In any case, she will not have me in stitches!

Katy, I'm not a stalker with a grudge, I'm Peter's minder/ carer, just making sure that he behaves himself.

Getting back to the subject - these people supply quality products and will send to Spain - http://www.blacksheepwools.com/ - sorry if I'm not meant to put that link on here. Not my business but I have bought from them.
You can spend, minutes, hours, days, weeks or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could've, would've happened - or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move the f**k on.
