Hi
I wonder if anyone could help. My Samsung Washer not draining and have checked the filter and the hose and there doesn´t seem to be any blockage there. I tried again yesterday and when the machine reached stage in the cycle to drain, then nothing and it seemed to be making a straining noise!!!
Would anyone know of a washing machine repair man or lady in the Coin area????
Or offer any DIY tips on fixing the problem maybe???
Many thanks.

Re: Washing Machine Repair
Have you checked that there isn't anything inside the pump stopping it turning?

I always get my white goods from Jugami in Coin, as far as I know, they also offer a repair service. If you go there, speak to Christina - she speaks very good English.

Hi
Thank you all for taking the time to offer help and suggestions. I did check the filter and everything seemed OK and clear. Not sure though abot the Pump Gerry. Maybe if I take the back off the back of the washer and have a look!!!! Failing that, next visit to Coin I will stop off a Jugami and make some enquiries. Just worried about received big repair bill and wonder whether it would be more cost effective to buy new washer - though that said......I only bought this present Samsung about three years ago possibly four but no more than that so it is relatively new.
Thanks everyone again though. I am appreciative.

Re: Washing Machine Repair
does it do the same on all "washes" ?
we have just replaced our pump with one from ebay - it was doing the same thing, not draining, the pump spindle was worn out.

Hi Spanish Lad
Yes it does make the same noise and doesn´t drain on whatever programme you use. That was interesting to read about the pump you got on ebay though.

Re: Washing Machine Repair
Can't help wondering how a pump spindle can have worn out, unless it was defective from the beginning, or the machine is quite old? Our Indesit was new in 1996 and herself always seems to be washing something - I have had to replace a door catch however, so it hasn't been totally reliable.
