The government has allowed a back dated charge for some complicated claim that the power companies made some time ago. It is being spread over a number of bills.

It's happening to everyone so don't worry.

What period of time does the backdate cover and when did they start taking it? I moved into this house on 1st May and Endesa take the bill directly from my bank account. Clearly if this is a 2011 issue I don't want to be paying it!
You can spend, minutes, hours, days, weeks or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could've, would've happened - or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move the f**k on.

Hi Footprint,
Had a letter with September bill.............ref back charges. They started to take catch up then.
Roughly doubled my bill.

In theory yours should go to the previous bill payer but I bet it doesn't..........

Thanks Enrique

When I can determine how much it will be I'll just deduct it from the rent I pay :)

It is stated on the bill as:
- Ajuste precios 4ºT 2011
- Ajuste precios 1ºT 2012
+ IVA

I've been paying an extra €10.32 a month since October for the "adjustment"
So it's about 10% extra a month on my bill.

Cheers
