Thanks Enrique
Digital Certificate exported successfully.
I have notifications in my personal area for some late payment amounts. Do you know how I can pay them?

Hi waynemuns,

From a Post by Beachcomber.................

"You will subsequently receive a notification to pay the fine. I would suggest you get a digital certificate so that you receive immediate notification of the fine. You will be then be able to pay it online taking advantage of the discount for prompt and undisputed payment. You will need a digital certificate for each person who is paying late. You could also pay with a digital signature avoiding a trip to the bank but this will only work if your bank account was opened with your NIE rather than your passport."

What info have you got on the Notification of the Fine............any reference to a Modelo (Form) that you need to submit.

If so then go onto your Spanish Bank and in the "Options to pay Taxes" pick out the relevent Form number , obtion a NRC number and go online and match up the Notification payment area.

The above is a guess..........need a Member who has actually done this Procedure to see your Post...........

In the mean time search the AEAT site for any info on paying Fines...................

Hi all,

I managed to pay my 210 form payments in a bank in cash...great. They scanned the barcode on the the 010 form and got the expected payment amount. The tax website doesn't show my payments (which I expected given what I've read on here) but I have uploaded my receipted 010 form (this is the payment letter form produced when you are paying your 210 late which has the addition of a fee on it) to the tax website.

However, I've got a new notification to pay my outstanding tax with a slightly increased fine fee. Given that I already paid the 256 euro tax at the bank (plus a 12 euro fee due at the time) do I just ignore these new demands to pay the tax and an increased fee (this it's around 25 euros now)?

Thanks again.

Hi all,

Has the guide to filing the annual Modelo 210 Non residents tax moved locations? I previously had it bookmarked, but it's no longer there.

Thanks.

Hi ManilvaMark,

The FAQ on Form 210 was removed some months ago, I have enquired (30 December 2021) Why...... but have not had any response.

Any questions you have please post on this Thread.

Hi all,

Question: Is there anyway electronically to confirm that AEAT have received my Modelo 210 payment made from the UK?

Following on from my posts on page 71 and 72 of this thread, I had a problem when trying to make payments from the UK a couple of years ago. Starling Bank's Euro account Reference field was insufficiently long enough to accommodate the 20 characters of the reference data needed by AEAT. I tried another bank, and had a different problem so I went back to paying cash at a bank in Spain. Starling Bank in the UK have now fixed their system so I thought I would try again.

I have a FNMT digital certificate. I used this link: https://www1.agenciatributaria.gob.es/w ... /index.zul that picks up my certificate and allows me to select “Payment by transfer from abroad” instead of “To deposit”.
The 210-submission verified OK, generated my Modelo210 pdf file, the instructions on the first 2 pages of the pdf said "to make a bank transfer for the tax amount due to the following account at the Bank of Spain" and provided the following info:

IBAN ES8790000001200270002107
BIC/Swift code: ESPBESMMXXX (apparently not needed by me because I was paying from a Euro account at a UK bank)
Payee Field : 250XXXXXXXXXX-AEAT eg the Número de justificante (Receipt no) of my Modelo210
Item field (Reference) eg it generated the concatenated field consisting of:
My NIE no (9 chars): A1234567Z
Modelo/Form (3 digits): 210
Tax year (last 2 digits): 21
Anagrama (4 chars): SLAX from under barcode on page 5
Period (2 digits): 0A

So all should be good, the money left my account, but it would be nice to know if the Tax office had actually received it?
I appreciate that I can write to them by snail mail, I was just wondering if there was a quicker, easier, electronic method of getting a confirmation.

Thanks for your help.

Hi slapdash,

The Payment via online can take some time to register on the AEAT site.

My best times 10 days worst 3 months :!:

You should be able to check here.............currently my Firefox returns 403 error on DS.......... Google Chrome works ok

Hi Enrique,
https://www1.agenciatributaria.gob.es/e ... 210ci.html

Thanks for the rapid response. Both Firefox and Chrome were OK for me.
The 3 fields to enter there, Periodo "0A" for annual no problem, NIF (I assume NIE ok for that)
and Ejerico Fiscal has a drop down list of years but only 2013 - 2018. Can you not search for anything later than 2018?

Thanks for your help

Hi Enrique

Its going to be one of those days :(

When I only entered my NIE and Surname i got the message "Unidentified declarant or NIF and name do not match"
Adding NIE, Surname and first name, in that order, got around that problem so I assume the system identified me correctly.
For the other entries I entered 210, I tried each year between 2018 and 2021 and as I only do annual returns I selected 0A for the period

However I am now getting the message "You are not authorized to consult or have not submitted the requested declarations"

I have definately submitted annual Modelo 210 forms every year since 2014.
My name is displayed from my Digital Certificate on the 3rd line from the top, under languages, and calender/time on the right side of the form. My digital certificate runs until autumn 2023.

Any further ideas or is it time to get my paper, ink and quill out?

Thanks for your continuing help :)

Hi again Enrique
I went on to search some other parts of the AEAT website. I found Form 210 - Consultations of Declarations in the same area as the form you gave me the link to above eg:
from AEAT homepage https://sede.agenciatributaria.gob.es/
--> Non Residents
--> Non-Residents Income Tax: Income obtained without a permanent establishment (*)
--> Featured Management (Box) --> Click on "all procedures" within this box (Same Page as above (*)
--> IRNR procedures without permanent establishment
--> Queries (Box) – Form 210 - Consultation of filed tax returns (Form 210 - Consulta de declaraciones presentadas)

Form 210 - Consultation of Filed Tax Returns, the direct link is here, but you need a Digital Certificate to access it
https://www1.agenciatributaria.gob.es/w ... ERCICIO=0

It pre-filled the NIF field with the NIE from my Digital Certificate
Period field I left as "Anyone"
Last Name and Name are required
Period From - Period To: I chose 2014 to 2021
Model "210"
Exercise (Which I assumed was the Modelo210 Tax Return Year) For which I entered all years between 2014 and 2021 for each query to check each year

Success!
It showed all my Modelo 210 forms from 2014 to 2020, none as yet for 2021 (as I would have expected)
It also shows the following information for each year under the following headings:

Proceedings : Receipt Number
Period : 0A
Presentation Date : Date of Submission
Condition: High - (I dont' know what that means)
Obtaining Receipt Option: View Button
Download Submitted File : Download Button

Well although it doesnt tell me if they have received my payment for this year, at the very least I know they have all my previous returns and I suppose my recent submission will eventually show up here.

Thanks for your help Enrique, I'll update this post when I find out that my payment was either received or whether it disappeared into the ether.

Conclusion to my posts above re Modelo 210 “Payment by transfer from abroad” UK in my case using the Euro account on the Starling Bank App

Reminder, you need a Digital Certificate and to use this link https://www1.agenciatributaria.gob.es/w ... /index.zul when entering your Modelo 210 details to get the payment from abroad option to come up. All you need to do is choose “Payment by transfer from abroad” rather then "To Deposit" (Cash, the default), I think your surname and first name are auto filled by the form and just make sure the European Union / SEPA (meaning you are paying in Euros) option is selected, and that was all that I entered.

Alex on page 80 of this thread posted that he had success "paying from abroad" (from Ireland) last year, and also provided another link to check that the submission had been received at AEAT. https://www1.agenciatributaria.gob.es/w ... PorNifServ
I checked that link, and amazingly it actually showed my submission from 5 days ago, with an indication that the "presentation date" was 2 days after my submission. It stated on the receipt "Confirmation of the prelimanry Tax Return at the Tax Office" , "Payment by Transfer" .
I also checked again the link I gave in the post above and this too showed the return. To repeat, that link is:
https://www1.agenciatributaria.gob.es/w ... JERCICIO=0

Both links require you to have a digital certificate to work (as does Paying from Abroad), and worked for me in Chrome rather than Firefox.

So I can confirm, you can pay from abroad from the UK using the Starling Bank App, which provides a UK GBP current account and an assoicated EURO account can make SEPA payments. The costs for transferring funds from the GBP to the EURO account are currently 0.4% of the transfer amount, and are market rates rather than tourist rates. No account fees for either GBP or EURO accounts. The only drawback is that although Starling Bank allows "joint" personal GBP accounts, it does not currently allow "joint" Euro accounts.

Anyway, I hope this helps anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation.

Many thanks to Enrique, Beechcomber and Alex for all their help.

PS if anyone finds my instructions above confusing, then PM me, and I will attempt to clarify.

Is Beachcomer gone....?

He used to always answer questions on this thread. But hasn't seemed to since Nov or Dec 2021. I also checked for his posts on all topics in Andalucia.com. And looks like his last one was in Dec.

If he is no longer here, that would be very sad. He was a really great resource for questions and issues on the Modelo 210. (No offense to you, Enrique :))

Hi,

My property was revalued in 2011, would that mean my 2021 non residents tax would be charged at the higher 2% rate rather than 1.1%?
TIA

Hi ManilvaMark,

Which Municipio do you come under.......... :?: ............... I'd like to look it up before answering.

If the Año efecto was 2011 then you will be using 2%

Can anyone give me the link to access the online Modelo 210 form for 2021 tax year. The Spanish site has changed and even when choosing the English language option, it's not clear where the form can be accessed.

Thanks in anticipation.
