Estufa repair

Postby lizzie » Sat Oct 24, 2015 11:28 am

Getting ready for the colder weather so I decided to set a fire ready in the estufa. However, I have discovered that the lining ( a sort of cementy stuff ) is crumbling away. Is it possible to repair this and if so does anyone know what the product is called please ? Also where to buy it . Really don't want to buy a new one if it is avoidable.

Good ferreterias will stock chimney (refactory) cement, in small packs. Just follow the mixing and use instructions (similar to any other cement), and the result is a high-temperature finish.
Probably also available at good builders' merchants, and from the outfits that sell stoves and fires.
