Did anyone actually feel the earthquake this morning?

Yes , it woke my wife and I up , her bedroom table and the bed shook , it was unnerving for us as in our six and a half year here this was the first time we have felt one. It's been mentioned on BBC news this morning.

Yes, I woke up to feel the bed shaking slightly. I could also hear a repetitive dull noise and woke my husband to ask what it was, but it only lasted a short while.

Yes, the wardrobe doors rattling and a low rumbling noise woke me at about 5:25 this morning. It lasted a few seconds.

Yes, 05:22. Woke us both up - low rumbling noise (like the wind), bed and house shaking gently, and bedroom ornaments jingling, all for about 10-15 seconds. Largest felt for us since 2004.

Full details of the event (centred in Med, 10km down, south of Costa del Sol - maps, reports...) here:

Yes, thought I was having a bad dream! Felt the building shaking, the bedroom windows were creaking and there seemed to be a rush of wind. Pretty sure I felt another smaller tremor a couple of minutes later. Scary stuff.
OH and the cat slept through it

Yes. I live up near Antequera and woke up at 5.22 with the bed shaking and the door rattling. Lasted about 15 seconds and then a small tremor straight after. Anyone know where the epicentre was?

Yes, I was awake at the time, bed shaking (not in a good way!) and blinds rattling for about 15 seconds.

On Facebook over a hundred reports came in in about 15 minutes, it was felt over a very wide area.

Wow! I imagine it must have been quite scary for a moment or two. I know Lorca sustained quite a bit of damage in their earthquake a few years ago but I've never really thought about earthquakes and the Iberian peninsula before — although Lisbon had a really bad 'quake in the 1700s. Mind you, when designing our house our architect did mutter something about us not being in an earthquake zone but I thought nothing about what she said. Anyway, I'm glad you are all well and no actual wardrobes fell on an actual person and there's no damage to anyone or anything. :D

Yes, not something I ever expected to experience - it's something that you normally only see on the news and usually in far away places. Very surreal. The best way I can describe it is like sitting in one of those massage chairs you see in shopping malls - but that doesn't quite describe it either, because it actually felt like the air was shaking, if that makes sense?

Wouldn't like to be walking the Caminito del Rey today :wtf:

Had to laugh at a photo of a woman In Malaga pointing out a crack in a wall of her piso. You could see it was an old crack and attempts had been made to fill it previously

Standard practice here: when there is crop damage due to weather and there is compo around the claims for the number of trees killed always suggests they were planted 2" apart to get that number into that area......

At 7.32 was a 4.7 in the same area as the last. There have been many many aftershocks.
