UNIX is basically a simple operating system, but you have to be a genius to understand the simplicity.

If she is the lady doing the commune for older people project, I'm sure I saw something not that long ago...

Its nice that people miss each other even when we are faceless on a forum. I feel like I know some of the regulars even though we have never met.

Merry Christmas to all of you.

So pleased to hear that Maria Cristina is OK. I've never met her (or anyone else on the forum as far as I know), but from her posts she seems to be a very kind lady.

I am both ashamed and touched to read these posts. It is a very long time since I posted anything on A.com though it has been a very practical prop for me for many years. This last year or so has been very difficult and I have been sinking , without realising it, into a pit of depression and my physical health has deteriorated too. However, reading these posts has made me understand that my good friends on the Forum deserve better than to be neglected. I will get my act together, have this morning decided to cut back on my work commitments and spend more time reading, writing, painting and gardening. I shall also go to the doctor! So . . . many thanks . . and my special friends will hear from me very soon . . . and I hope everyone will have a happy Christmas despite the political chaos everywhere.

I don't post here very much these days but like many of you, I feel very fond of the members here who have helped me so much over the years. I like to pop in and see what you're doing :) Mariacristina has become a very good friend and one of these days we might even meet! She's a lovely person.
