Re: Earthquakes in Granada
Yes, I felt the first one and a second about 15 minutes later. Not very dramatic but the sofa I was sitting on moved noticeably. They weren't as strong as the last one, some time last year I think.

Yes, Yes ,Yes,
I felt the earth move last night here ,near Loja.
I was watching tv and it was a noticable ripple effect twice, but not enough for me to consider abandoning ship.
Last year several very small tremors.
Regards,
Gordon

Re: Earthquakes in Granada
Welcome back Gordon!
We didn't notice it although obviously people not too far away felt it. We had a noticeable one last year, but I've read of quite a few regular ones happening around Spain since then.

Becoming a bit too regular in the granada area.
Re: Earthquakes in Granada
Just had another earthquake. They seem to be getting more regular here. Already found it on the internet. It was in Granada again, magnitude 3.5 at a depth of 5kms.
From the volcanodiscovery.com website:
During the past 14 days, Malaga was shaken by 1 quake of magnitude 3.5 and 6 quakes between 2.0 and 3.0. There were also 32 quakes below magnitude 2.0 which people don't normally feel.
Biggest quake: 3.5 quake Granada, 212 km east of Sevilla, Andalusia, Spain, Jan 5, 2022 11:19 am (GMT +1) 21 minutes ago

Re: Earthquakes in Granada
Was that about 15/20 minutes ago, Wicksey? I felt a slight movement of the sofa I was sitting on, but my husband on the other side of the room felt nothing. I said I wondered if it was another earthquake. Most of the ones we've had before have been in the evenings or during the night.
Re: Earthquakes in Granada
felt a very minor tremor here too
Re: Earthquakes in Granada
Yep Freeatlast that was it. I've now put the details up in my post. There was a loud rumbling and all the windows shook. The previous one we had last year, my OH's chair really shook but the sofa I was sitting on didn't. The earthquakes I've experienced always are accompanied by a really loud rumbling like thunder or a heavy lorry passing by (we've had several of them in Greece and Los Angeles plus a few here ... beginning to get used to them now!)
Re: Earthquakes in Granada
Next door neighbour came out and said did you feel that,my tv and room was shaking. I was outside and didnt feel a thing!
