Correct, i got one today.
Alhaurin el Grande since 99, working at the airport since 2011.
Re: new padron
methinks the tricky bit will be trying to co-ordinate when TH is open for padron appplication and when the Unicaja bank is open to pay 2 euros ... currently bank is only open 3 days a week for 3 hours ... see what happens tomorrow with my first attempt!

Re: new padron
last time that i had to pay, i gave it directly to the woman on the counter who was making the padron ?
Alhaurin el Grande since 99, working at the airport since 2011.
Re: new padron
s_l ... paying direct doesnt happen in Alcaucin!!! ... last time I applied for padron, the TH had moved to a temporary site at the top of village ... and the bank was right down the bottom ... suppose anyone who survived that walk down and up steep incline, deserved a padron!
Re: new padron
it's a miracle ... got it in one ... and it was free!
Re: new padron
Were you talking about the certificate, the one that lasts 3 months (volante I think it's called). I never showed ID to get ours, just a copy of an old one and they're free in Torrox too.
Re: new padron
here it is called 'padron' ... and lasts only a few months ... in 2019 it cost me 2 euros ... and a lot of energy walking down and up steep village streets!
Re: new padron
It's a certificate to show you're on the padron. Thankfully free here and we've needed quite a few in the past couple of years!

Went on the Padron last week but wasn’t given a paper copy but now I need one, can I print one off the Ayuntamiento site using my digital signature ? I have looked but can’t seem to find it ! I bet it’s starring me right in the face but my Spanish is rubbish

Not all town halls have this facility and you may need to go in person.

Re: new padron
Daisymay, the certificate from the town hall lasts for 3 months. When we've got ours it says 'volante' at the top, shows the details they hold and is stamped by them.

Wonderful word "volante" - can mean a flyer or leaflet, a shuttlecock, a steering wheel, a balance....
Another word that always amuses me is 'gato' - can mean a cat, or a jack (as in car jack). If my other half came in and said she had run over a 'gato' on the drive I don't know if I would be upset or worried how much damage there had been.
