TAX

Postby Lyric » Wed Jul 07, 2021 10:53 pm

Today I was hit for 39€ and change for an undefined tax, as usual they stole it.
Now I pay my IBI monthly and it's a little more than that and goes at the start of the month.
The car tax has also gone for the year and in any case is more than that.
So what is it for ? any ideas.

Could it be refuse collection. We had separate ones in Marbella.

Hi Lyric,

Might be reduced IBI.............. :D

Have you Googled the exact reference of the tax code :?:

Our bank will normally have a .pdf file on the Statement line that gives more details.

I didn't know you could pay IBI monthly. I know we certainly can't here in Turre in Almeria. As Enrique says, there is usually some sort of reference on your bank statement which should give you a clue. I would have guessed basura but as you say it can't be that.

It seems to be something to do with the personal payment plan. I just don't recall paying it before.

You have to be in poor circumstances to pay various things. When my company pension collapsed due to the company ceasing trading I went to Pension Protection Levels, a big cut. It started with the electricity, I pay that monthly, then I was in the Tax office for a reason long forgotten, and was just chatting with the clerk, he was practising his English and I casually mentioned that the big bills crippled me, and he offered and arranged monthly payments there and then.

I find it much better.
