Tax Form Modelo 210

Postby wasiti » Tue Nov 09, 2021 8:34 pm

Greetings.

We are new to this forum and just finding our way around. Apologies, in advance, for asking a question that, likely, has been asked and answered many times. Here goes:

We are non-residents, own an apartment in La Cala that we use a few months a year. We do not rent it out. For the last few years we have been paying a firm for completing the form Modelo 210. The difference from one year to the next appears only to be in the numbers in "Numero de justificante" at the top right hand side. Also, the third sheet that is kept by the bank when we make the payment has 3 bar codes at the top.

The firm preparing and charging for the service spends no more than a few of minutes to reproduce and email the forms to us. The amount of tax we have been paying is the same for the last 3 years.

Our question is: Are the "Numero de justificante" and bar codes important for submitting the form and making payment? If not, can we simply photocopy last year's form, white out the "justificante" number and the bar codes, change the date and submit it to the bank?

We would appreciate feedback?

Hi wasiti,

Welcome to the Forum.......... I see you made it onboard...........

Some pointers.........

There is an excellent FAQ on Form 210 maintained by super Guru Beachcomber.............

viewtopic.php?f=42&t=39065

There is a dedicated Thread for Form 210.............. for latest info

viewtopic.php?f=22&t=31081&p=415588#p415588

Now your Question..............

"can we simply photocopy last year's form, white out the "justificante" number and the bar codes, change the date and submit it to the bank?"

in a word ...........NO

You can use the English Version of the Form and it is all done on-line............see FAQ

So fire up the Form put all your details in and Validate and before you Exit ..... EXPORT your Data and save to your disk so next year you only have to Change the Date and the Rate if it has Changed...........

See my Post of 13 Oct Page 80 in the dedicated Thread for screenshots on where the Export Tab is before you Exit .
All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.
