Current Bottled Gas Prices

Postby john the baptist » Fri Nov 12, 2021 10:20 am

Hi silly question but does anyone know that the current gas prices are for bottled gas both Repsol (heavy orange) and Cepsa (light aluminium), a neighbour paid near €20 for the light one delivered by the man in the van for a bottle but a friend paid just over €15 for the orange bottle repsol.

ones in Malaga province one is in Cadiz province. Does it make a difference ???? are the prices fixed because i usually go to the petrol station with a few bottles and fill the boot up, but i cant believe theres such a current price difference.

Thanks in advance as always JB

There is a possibility that one is propane... i cannot remember the color of propane bottle.
Propane has a slightly higher pressure if my memory is correct.
Also propane is more for industry and is a bit dearer... i expect not regulated like lpg...

Butano regulated price circa 16e REpsol 12,5kg.

Butano free market both repsol 12kg and cepsa 12,5kg circa 20e. The light bottles in both cases. a complete ripoff.

Not sure if Cepsa do regulated market.

I paid 18€ for the light Cepsa about a month or so ago at a BP garage. They always charge more than the advertised minimum rate I've seen in the press. I think our heavy old orange Repsol ones are cheaper but they last so long we haven't had to renew that one for a while.

Heavy orange bottle 4 weeks ago was €15.50, delivered to the door by gas man. I always give hime a €1 to carry it in as they are bloody heavy and he has to come up 6 steps with it. If everyone gave him a euro he would be on a good number at end of month.

Hola

The official price now is 16.12 for the orange bottles in Repsol. These are regulated by the government whereas ALL others are not regulated.

The light blue Butano bottles at my local Repsol Garage are é20.80 as opposed to the Orange Bottles which are cheaper, I believe. My Repsol Garage does a brisk trade mainly on the light blue bottles.

Hola,

Yes it is only the Repsol garages that sell at the official price - all others can charge what they want having bought at the official price

Hello Country Boy. Back in the UK now? Fuel here is expensive as well. Cost me over 46€ for 30L of petrol yesterday when I filled up my Panda. Thankfully gas is relatively cheap but we only use it for cooking now, and electricity is going up rapidly too.

I filled my car up yesterday, cost me £90.00 and the light wasn’t on. It used to cost under £80 when the fuel light was glowing. The 5kg BBQ green bottles are £15 to fill now. The UK is a rip off all round.

Exchanged two standard ( new blue/orange) Repsol bottles last night in our remote village. 20 euros 50 each. Could be 25 by Navidad!

The official (government controlled) price increased this week to €16.92

The price is reviewed bimonthly on the third Tuesday of the month.

The actual wholesale price has gone up much more than that. The price of the standard orange bottles is subsidised by the government. The price of a non subsidised 35kg bombona is €76.90
