Three Bar Gas Fire

Postby pensure1988 » Mon Mar 28, 2022 10:18 pm

I have a three Bar Gas fire which refuses to light. it is pretty old pre 2010. Should I renew the tubing and connector first before going out to buy a Brand New Heater. Please can someone give me some advise here on how to proceed.. I have not replaced the Tubing for quite a few years more than 3.

Thank You

David

Check if it lights using a lit taper - if so clean the piazo crystal that makes the spark to ignite.

Thank you for your reply

It is pretty old Gas Heater with a manual switch on top to select the one , two or three bar heater. I turn the Gas on, press down on the selector, then light the Gas using the flame from the Gas Lighter. Nothing Happens anymore.

Thank You

Hola,

When you try to light it, can you smell gas? If not then either you are not pressing down correctly to light it, or the bypass mechanism is broken - read you instructions again unless it's been working up until now

you´ll find a new heater is "cheaper" quality, the metal is thin and they weigh not alot.

saftey wise.. i´d get a new heater. 60€ is better than buring the house down.
