car parking near Malaga Maria zembrano train station

I have to collect grandson from Malaga train station next week, mid afternoon ... any advice from anyone re parking facilities near that station would be most appreciated ...

There is underground parking with pedestrian access to the train station and shopping centre.
Assuming you are approaching from the road next to the sea then just after passing the station turn left at the traffic lights and you will see the car park entrance.

Any ideas on where I could simply drop-off someone,without having to use the carpark?
I've looked on Streetview but can't quite work out where to stop for 30 secs or so.

Turn left again before the entrance to the car park and there is an area for dropping off and picking up passengers but not for parking whilst you walk into the station and wait for the train to arrive.
