Custom clearance for household items

There are only 5 small plastic boxes with a total weight of Approx. 60 kg

I was chatting to a Canadian guy some time ago and he told me that a person can bring in personal items for 18 months after they get a padrón to become a resident.
In this instance he had had a padrón for years as they had a house, they applied for a separate padrón in his wifes name to transfer the items.
They were also buying a different house so i expect thats how they can have a separate padrón.
