No orange gas bottles in alhaurin anymore !

Well that was a sudden change.. I went to both petrol stations last night and they have stopped selling 'normal' orange gas bottles.. you have to exchange it for a slightly smaller bottle with an blue plastic top.

Of course they cost 2 euro more .. €23.65 each

Less gas in them aswell.... Thought that at the moment the max price for the old orange type was 18.65, or thereabouts. That's what I paid last week in an independent garage near us,

Repsol list 3 sizes on their website - the usual 12.5kg, a "lightweight" 12kg one identified by a blue cap, and a small one for barbeques etc.
Our local garage still only has the 12.5s and propane.

The price of the 12.5kg orange went down last week. I am sure the price is set and no retailer can charge more. We have the gas man twice a week delivering in our area. I always give him a euro tip to carry the bottle in for me.

We have a Cepsa bottle and we always pay more than the maximum price when we buy them from the local BP station.

The price is the official (heavy) orange 12.5 Kg bottles when bought at a Repsol garage. Anyone else can charge what "the market can afford" so a delivery man may put a euro on every bottle to cover his costs for example

Yep. Every garage that's not repsol charges more than the 'set price' to cover costs. Not sure what those are, as repsol provides the cages etc but hey...

This was not about that, just that they are only stocking blue top bottles that are now more expensive.
