Water Pressure
Water Pressure
Our water pressure seems to be very high. It hasn’t always been like this. Is there anyway of backing it off a little.

Hi costakid,
Pressure Reducing Valve ( PRV) can bs used to set the pressure . We have a few in the system. They don't seem very reliable, get one with guage.
This may due to make fitted in our case or the cal and sand that comes through the pipe.

UNIX is basically a simple operating system, but you have to be a genius to understand the simplicity.
Re: Water Pressure
Might have been some maintenance upstream ie sludge removed from a pipe.
Good idea to fit a reducing valve.some washing machines don’t like pressure.

Re: Water Pressure
so where in the system do you fit a PRV? Is it next to the meter or inside the house. We are in an apartment with the main supply coming into a fully tiled wall, all you can see is the valve to turn on and off the supply.

Hi costakid,
As close to the input source as convenient if you want to restrict the whole system.
