It seems that the requirement to wear a mask on public transport has ended.

They've been saying in Sur in English for a couple weeks the requirement was due to end by 8 February. Still needed for doctors, farmacias etc. We must be one of the last countries to have made people wear masks. Travelling recently, when in the Canaries it did catch a lot of the tourists out, but when I was in Portugal it was weird to go on the metro without one after all this time. It suddenly felt like normality had long last returned which was good.

Masks are still being worn by some in our village, but not all of them because of Covid worries, it's because they have allergies mainly caused by reactions to olives, or should I say what is being sprayed on them.
