Shame, the Friday night one would have definitely had the xmas party atmosphere. Never mind, I will check out the other possibility and see who is on, but it ain't Spanish food as such, more sort of general european norm. The only Spanish places I know with live music, is that sort of singing where they sound like they have been run over by a truck you know like the old wailing piped music in Supersol. I'd like to see anyone try to bop to that
I wear it well...........

You're only going to stop Spanish Hopes having all those women to himself! Sounds like you all could have a good night. Hope it goes well for you.samizdat wrote:the following people (or alter egos!) have confirmed their attendance:
Hurrah looks like the ratio to men to women is evening up - or is it

No, I'm not unfortunately. We did have an invite from some Spanish friends, to stay anytime this month, but we can't make it. Perhaps it's just as well! I have flights booked for May, but certainly hope to be out before then. Fancy another spell at a Language School, see if I can improve a bit more. Learn a bit more grammar!
BTW - you need to change your signature - you're a GURU now
Don't believe that! The sig is still very much valid, I'm afraid.

if you have the time you should try the Xmas school in Granada - its a couple of weeks - you have grammer in the morning, some culture in spanish, homework for practice and then all go and get *beep* at the Tapas bars at night - speaking ONLY spanish with the rest of the class. Its a real test as many of them dont speak english so you can only communicate what you have learn in class
Best part is its cheap 150E for the 2 weeks.

Thanks. The last class I attended, there were various Europeans there, including Scandanavians, and a little japanese girl, and as my my Swedish and Japanese is not too hot, Spanish was the language of the day! I have visited many places in southern Spain, but I still could not get over all the free tapas in Granada when we stayed there! And the size of them. I hardly bought a meal there. I like Granada a lot, and would like to study there, but it's not really an option at the moment. Perhaps in the New Year! I bet you're glad you moved from the coast?samizdat wrote:Frank

Please let me know if you want to attend. Just a reminder that andalucia.com is putting in 15Euros a head to match our 15 a head towards food and drink, so come, drink, eat and be merry! The event is taking place on the 17th December in Marbella, we've yet to decide on a venue but MaggieMay is looking into this.
