Where's Aldi? I haven't heard of it. I usually shop at Mercadona and thought that was cheap compared to Carrefour.

Spanish_lad you are going to make someone a wonderful wife what with your shopping and apple pie making skills. What are you like with housework though. :?:

Please tell me you don't use tinned mushrooms though.

Ribina 600ml & 6 mince pies. €8:98
The pies weren’t exceedingly good either.

Phyllosan and Sanatogen are the c0cktail bases for us in the blue rinse set and are what keep us going.

Phyllosan fortifies the over forties.

While you are at it could you price up 3 in 1 oil as my truss is squeaking a bit at the moment.

We always shop at different shops for different things, always buy our water from Lidl (1.5 Litre bottles for 16 cents, same price at Aldi).

I buy Freeway Cola from Lidl at 49 cents a bottle (2 litres) it's as good as Pepsi/Coca Cola imo.

I have noticed that potatoes have become more expensive over the last month or so, I was getting a 5kg bag from Eroski for 99 cents in November.

just for you kev, i was in mercadona today and saw the cruzcamopo and thought of your plight to find cheap enlightenment -

cruzcampo - mercadona

330ml cans = 43c each.

a pack of 24 330ml cans (3.9L) = 4.92 (bargin, if u buy the seperate its €10+ )

Litre bottles = €1.03

24 small bottles (6L) = €7.33

pack of 6 small bottles (1.5L) = €1.94

;) i´ll check on aldi / lidl next time i go there.

Thanks SpanLad, thats excellent research, your findings are really exciting!
Hmmmm, I was supposed to be saving up for a solar panel but.....*beep* it! Live the dream, thats what I say.
Not sure about the small cans now, they look a bit puffy and get hot in summer.
I much prefer the 'classic' look - Litre bottle, C.F.Malaga shell suit, greased back hair, staggering round the town square!

I could only drink the real thing for coca cola, perhaps its ok for kids. Lidl is good for wine but their shops always seem so messy, presentation is really bad. A German friend loves it as it has all the biscuits he had in Germany when he was young. Keep up the good work though spanish lad.

Too much time on his hands I say. Why can't he just go around vandalising cemetries or mugging old ladies like lads his age do in the UK?

Why on earth be ashamed to know the answer it just shows you are a sensible lad.

What is the difference between the Lidl & Mercadona ones apart from the price?
