Blocked Shower

The hole in the shower floor is blocked.

The shower is an interesting system with a 3 inch deep hole in the floor which is the drain, lovely! I worked my socks off with my plunger & managed to get rid of the water but when I run the water the drain blocks again. I've tried coathangers & hosepipes but nothing will bend at 90 degrees.

Are there any great products over here that could clear the drain? - Tried bleach, that didnt make any difference!

sosa cautica is the cheapest option but you will find many others in the drogueria shops look where soap powder is. all must be handled with care.

You can buy great drain unblockers from the bazaar shops - they are basically a very long coil of thin flat steel on a roll - you feed it down the pipe in question sort of twisting it in and out as you go - it will pull out all sorts of lovely gunky things for you to examine, all for a few euros

Agua Fuerte is good and only about 70cents a litre, careful though its very strong. The blockage could be a long way down ours went right down the garden it was full of tree roots.

I am sure all this DIY is therapeutic, but why don't you just get a bloody plumber in and be done with it?
