Just watched one of those 'living the dream' type programmes and I do believe they are changing the script slightly!
The script tonight was : two retired Brits looking for a retirement home near the sea. They are shown 3 apartments in Devon and 3 in Alicante (OK I know that's not in Andalucia!). Obviously one is rubbish, one is OK, and one is over budget - that's the formula. After much heart searching the result is announced just after the commercial break.
The woman said something like 'England's got a lot going for it' and the man said 'It's allright here, but there's concrete everywhere' after complaining about a barking dog next door. They then returned to glorious Devon (it was filmed in summer I must point out).
Are these programmes getting more realistic, or am I just being negative?
Thanks, but actually I prefer the apartment in Devon!

Doesn't Torrevieja translate as "Toxteth"?
I used to cough to disguise a [email protected] I f@rt to disguise a cough.
Breathtaking!!!
More to Spain than the costas and a small strip inland where all the expats congregate! The North..say La Rioja, for example, - is stunning!
Smile - you're going to die!:-)
