Hello
I got a chance to work and live in Spain. Am looking for some information on what I can expect living in Benahavis. i.e what it is like in winter. What it is like in summer. About the people, things to do.
The job is in retail and comes with accommodation and a car for the first six months.
If I did take up the job offer, it would start towards the end of the year.
Working in Benhavis

It would depend on what you are giving up to go. Can you not visit the place and check out your accommodation etc. before you decide.

Not a lot. lol Am having a meeting with the people from Spain a week wednesday. It's only for six months first off. If I did not like the job/place or they did not like me, i would go back to England. I will be keeping my flat in England.safeashouses wrote:http://www.andalucia.com/province/malag ... s/home.htm

I used to live in Benahavis, it is a beautiful little town some 20 minutes away from Puerto Banus nice place to live but you will need the car to get out. I didnt get a long too well with the locals but maybe you will have more luck. It has the most restaurants per citizen of any town in the world apparently and while they are quite good they arent amazing. Amnahavis, Los Abanicos and Rufino being the better ones. Nice areas to walk around, local football pitch, small botique hotel called amnahvis there, also a larger 4 or 5 star hotel by the river. Excellent for mountain biking. Some nice shops, friendly and ever present town police who are always in the town. The river is fun to swim in, canoe in and do other activities in the summer. Overall a great place but if you like going out at night, going shopping in bigger shopping centres you will have to drive for 20 mins.
