Frikandellen...

Postby rafiki » Wed Nov 17, 2010 9:32 pm

We are running short of our favourite Dutch sausage. Beckers are preferred but at a push we're not fussy :shh:

Does anyone know of a source in Spain?
Brian.

Rafiki,
We have seen and bought Frikandellen in Lidl and Aldi, but not sure if they stock them all of the time or just for promotions...

Regards,
Gordon.

Thanks Gordon. We don't go to those supermarkets often but we'll check when we're next passing. Could you tell me if the ones you bought were the Dutch variety (sausage-like) or the German variety (meat-ball-like)?

Rafiki,
We've had both, but prefer the skinless sausage shaped variety, we have been regular visitors to Holland and Germany , so have enjoyed them many times...
My wife also mentions that she has seen them in Eroski, but again maybe just a promotion of Northern European foods..
Aldi seems to have better ranges of this type of product, but worth checking them all....

Regards,
Gordon..

Ah, good. Thanks again. We have a new Aldi not too far from us so we'll pop in.
