Horchata
A friend of mine in the UK (!) has been given some tiger nuts. He would like to make some authentic horchata. None of my Spanish neighbours knows how to make it. Can anyone advise, please?
Re: Horchata
They sell it in Lidl At one time when I was young I only saw it in Valencia region.

Re: Horchata
Thank you, Sid. That is a really interesting site and worth looking at even if you don't want to make Horchata!
I have passed the information on.

You can make many nut milks the same way. I make almond milk (which is delicious in coffee) and coconut milk, but I use honey to sweeten so it's a bit healthier and if you dry out the grounds that are left in your muslin, they can be used in baking. I'm going to try a hazlenut milk and then add some cocoa powder. I'm hoping it will taste like Nutella
