No doubt in a bid to keep profits solid, Mercadona have once again changed their supplier. The bottle is similar colour and same volume but dumpier.
My experience so far . taste is fine but if you tighten the cap up and put back in the fridge, when you come to open it the cap gets blown off in your hand. I guess it releases its bubbles easier which isn't a plus.
Anyone else a fan of their con gas?

Yes, for 8 years now and this is the third change of supplier but I only buy the 500 ml bottles in packs of 6 so I don't have to reseal them. You should never put an open bottle of sparkling water back in the fridge; it always goes flat. Still good value though.

Why should putting it in the fridge make it go flat? I keep many bottles of fizzy stuff in the fridge and have never noticed it going flat unless it is more than 50% used.ajtg1952 wrote: You should never put an open bottle of sparkling water back in the fridge; it always goes flat.
I can't see why it should be any different just because it is in the fridge.
What scientific evidence do you have for this strange phenomenon?

I think you'll find you've just answered your own question Sid.

The solubility of carbon dioxide goes up as the water temperature lowers. That is until you get to 0C Obviously.
Even if carbonated water is frozen the bubbles of gas remain in the solid ice until thawed.

Re: Agua con Gas - Mercadona
Our part used bottles never hang around long enough to go flat (couple of days max.) We use a jar opener/tightener to nip it up the last bit. Good tip.

Squeeze the bottle in the middle and then replace the cap to keep the fizz.
