Do any supermarkets in Andalucía sell frozen pastry? The Spanish for pastry is "masa". I've looked for it in Carrefour and Supercor, no luck. In Supercor, they have pre-cooked tartlets in the bread section.
Also, are breadcrumbs sold anywhere? I asked the guy at the meat counter in Carrefour. He said to look for "pan rallado". It was near the home baking section, but it wasn't quite what I wanted: it's more like toasted breadcrumbs. Not ideal for stuffing the turkey!

You can buy many types of pastry in all the supermarkets. They will freeze perfectly. The Pan Rallardo is very fine. I just use shop bought bread and put it into a food processor.

Mercadona has frozen puff and short pastry, but I find the shortcrust here not brilliant. The very best puff pastry is Mercadona's fresh (it's a two pack, in the chiller near to the pizzas). I buy it then freeze it and it keeps for ages. It's ready rolled and rises a treat. Lidl also has fresh pastry in the chiller section.
Like El Cid, I make my own breadcrumbs. I keep any dog ends of bread in the freezer and use those when I need crumbs.

You can also buy puff pastry made with butter.

I too can vouch for Mercadona pastry. My wife makes various dishes using it. Just this week she made a very tasty chicken pie with the left overs from the Christmas Capon
