We are trying to book a holiday for Semana Blanca, which is the week in February that the schools close, anybody know when that might be for 2016?
Thanks

It varies from region to region but in Malaga it seems it will be 16-19 February.
I've got an inferiority complex, but it's not a very good one!

Re: Semana Blanca 2016
We are in Fuengirola and the week always includes Día de Andalucía which is 28 February, next year it is a Sunday, so Semana Blanca will be either the week before or the week after. But, really need to know which one. Anybody ??
Thanks, Sharon

according to juan hoffman college in the malaga province its the week following andalucia day, hope this helps.
My spelling is Wobbly. It's good spelling but it Wobbles, and the letters get in the wrong places.

So nothing happens except the mothers have to drag their kids around with them when they are out shopping.

Re: Semana Blanca 2016
Unfortunately official school calendar is normally published at the end of May beginning of June. As the 28th is a Sunday, the official holiday has already been marked for the Monday, so my guess is that Semana Blanca will be from 29th to 3rd of March, although it's a bit ridiculous as they will start Easter holidays on 18th of March.
The Semana Blanca is only in the province of Malaga and is 4 days (3 holidays + 1 teachers day) + the Día de Andalucía.
