I watched it on Sky Sports last night. Those last twenty minutes seemed to go on and on........
Even at 0-2 up, it wouldn't have been the first time this season that a lead had been squandered.

Well played Malaga

Malaga 0 : Deportive La Coruna 0.
I saw the highlights on youtube. I had the feel of 2 points lost rather than 1 point gained.

I thought they played very well last night, even though they lost 2-1. They really played a good spoiling game and brought Barca down to their level. (being Irish we know about bringing other teams down to our level  ). Ok Barca played better football and deserved the points, but I thought Malaga kept their heads up and didn't let themselves become overpowered.

I watched the match tonight between Ath Bilbao and Malaga and I thought Malaga looked the better side.
They could have won it with a bit of luck .1-1 wasn't a bad score though

They do quite well against the higher placed teams and thow points away against the lower teams.
Now two matches to go: Getafe away and Real Madrid at La Rosaleda. RMA could be playing for the championship at that match so nerves may come into play, Sneery Ronaldo sent off, and a 2-1 victory for Malaga keeps them up   (I had a dream.........)

Racing play Valladolid away - a win for Valladolid could keep them up, put Racing down and leave Malaga's future in their own hands. Then they play Sporting at home.

Teneriffe play Almeria away and then Valencia home.

Its all to play for (as they say) 8)

Well
D-day for Malaga. It's going to be difficult for them as well as Tenerefe and Valladolid It's incredible that they all have to play against one of the top three teams. My predition is Malaga and Tenerife down, and Valladolid and Santander staying up.

Well done to Sevilla last night, The last 10 minutes of that match was what makes football the game it is.
I felt sorry for the Mallorca team, who were sitting on their pitch watching the last 3 minutes of the Almeria-Sevilla match,on the big sceen.
Word is though that Mallorca could be thrown out of Europe anyway because of their financial situation

well, that was some climax to the season. I said in a previous post that they do well against the 'better' clubs and thow points away against the lower clubs. Who would have thought they could have scratched a point from Real Madrid? Is this the team that only managed to get a point from Tenerife at La Rosaleda? or who lost 2-4 to Jerez, both matches only a few weeks ago?

Anyway, well done to Malaga CF, another season in la primera coming soon.......

It was a great result. I only saw in full a few games this season but the wierd thing is that their goal difference of -6 is bettered only by Athletico Madrid (-4)up in 9th position.

You get the sense that there is not too much wrong.
They had more drawn games than any other team in La Liga (16 draws). 8 draws at home and 8 draws away. Even a 50% conversion into wins gives them an extra 16 points which would have put them in 9 position.

They scored 42 goals which is better than Dep La Coruna in 10 position so scoring is not their problem.

It would seem they need a couple of decent defenders to stop the goal leaks.

I watched the game in malaga with some friends. The atmosphere was electric. Afterwards the streets were full of people singing and dancing. You would have thought they had won La Liga. Not a hint of trouble but the police were prepared for the worst.

I see that the club has been sold to a Qatari (?) Sheik and that his first action was to fire coach Muniz.
could be interesting times ahead :D
