Cost of lower teeth extraction + denture

Postby brenda » Sat Jul 19, 2014 1:25 pm

Has anyone had all their lower teeth removed and a denture fitted locally? If so, can you give me an idea of the cost incurred? Many thanks.

I believe it is normal practice, here in Spain, to go to a dentist and get a free check up and written estimate of any work that needs doing.

Two weeks ago today I had probably the most physical pain that I've ever endured when one of my back teeth decided to go bad on me.
I had the troublesome molar removed on the following Monday for a cost of 28 euros, maybe this will give you some idea of cost.

Dentures are quite expensive and as Gerry suggested you really need to get a quote first, then come back on the forum and someone may be able to guide you to a cheaper option....possibly even me ?

Gordon the Toothless One :(

Get a quote from the dentist for dentures, then get a quote from a "Protesis dental". It'll be about half the cost.

I had a problem with grinding my teeth while sleeping and got the dentist to make me a mouthguard.
A few months later I was in Torre del Mar and went to Prodensa in Calle Patron Veneno. Out of interest, I asked how much it would be if he had made the mouthguard. As I said, it was half the price. He told me that the dentist I went to sends the mould to him and he makes them!

Check out Dental Departures at dentaldentaldepartures.com
They have over 3000 recommended clinics in 30 different countries. You can just click in location and the all the clinics in that area come up. You can check out the prices on each clinic page as well as read reviews, see photos, promotions & staff etc.
You can email them for a quote or ask questions or there is a phone number that you can call. They will also schedule your appointment for you and then if you had any problems after your dental treatment then they will also advocate for you.
They are really helpful and make finding a quality dentist stress free.

I could reccomend Antonio Martinez in Velez Malaga. Can't remember the exact cost but, full top set and partial bottom was approx 1,400 I think. Really nice guy, speaks English. Camino Viejo de Malaga.

My husband paid 1000 euro for a new set of dentures, that was 3 years ago or more maybe.
No soporto ver la casa sucia, ahora mismo me levanto y apago la luz.
