Re: Coronavirus
Here too, our cleaner who we only took on recently to assist while the management got over her operation, has offered to do our shopping. Considerably out of her way as we are campo dwellers.
Nice people.

Re: Coronavirus
Fingers crossed that the lock down has an impact and slows the virus, no reason why it shouldn't if people are all on the same page and follow all the advice...
Gerry, cook something at home you really don't need to go putting yourself at risk for a Chinese takeaway...lt's really not worth it...

Re: Coronavirus
Not disputing your posting but where did you see those reports?
Would be useful to keep my eye on them as those locations are very near me.
Cheers

Re: Coronavirus
I had a feeling things were going to move quickly by Tuesday and managed to get/give email/WhataSap details to some of the elderly/living alone neighbours in case they need supplies getting in. If nothing else, just sending some cheerful messages might help as it's funny how quickly mindless boredom sets in when you're actually told that you MUST lounge around doing nothing in particular. I took my bulging binbag to the dump trolley and felt like a criminal as I skulked across the deserted street this evening.
Seemingly spontaneous applause broke out around the balconies about 7pm which was cheerful (cf Italy and also Granada). According to a notice that looked official but forwarded by a friend so I don't know the source, today was supposed to have an official 8pm applause for emergency services (an hour early round my way), a 9pm minute's silence for those affected and a 10pm rendition of the Andalusia Anthem followed by applause. I faintly heard the anthem playing from my (English) friend's balcony but no-one else took any notice and no applauding. Personally, I prefer spontaneous to solidarity-dictats from above.
What I do want to know (I don't have their telephone number) is if my huge laundry can be collected on Wednesday. If not, any tricks other than inside-out and back-to-front? I've got maybe a week's worth in.
