Coronavirus
Re: Coronavirus
Who knows. Euro claims to have talked to two ministers. Or they have made it up But of course im sure a plan is in place for if the numbers increase in huge amounts. So its not unbelievable that this is or something similar could be introduced if the regions cant control things and central goverment steps back in. Although whether they would get support to get it through is another issue.
I doubt N322 are previ to what plans there are and i doubt the goverment would give lots of notice

Hi
How can it be fake news.
I doubt if Euroweeklynews would publish an article without having checking the facts first. Facebook N332 has got it all wrong. Maybe somebody has got they wires crossed here.

EWN has admitted that the article was incorrect and have retracted it.

They posted the above shortly after. But havnt seen anything else. Certainly not a retraction. More like mocking their readers.

Re: Coronavirus
I think it's difficult to compare the UK with Sweden as Sweden has a population of London and a density of less than a tenth of the UK (and even less if you compare it just to England). I understand that there were some social distancing measures in place there, but I don't think anyone knows how the UK would have fared if there'd been no lockdown measures.Lavanda wrote: ↑Sun Aug 09, 2020 4:50 pm Not behind the paywall and the 'comments' are also worth a read.

Euroweekly is such a rag. I look online and it has sensationalist headlines like the Daily Mail. Last week it said that Easyjet was just about to go out of business, when other papers were reporting the extra flights it was putting on due to demand for Greece/Turkey etc. I'm still awaiting for the giant sand storm it keeps warning us is coming this way

I personally would trust a Spanish Police-run citizens notification and information site over Euroweekly News any day of the week. Don't know about you? Euroweekly is full of CLICK BAIT headlines
Re: Coronavirus
From the local press. Presume the cases are related to the nightclub and bar?
The Ministry of Health and Family of the Junta de Andalucía has updated the weekend data today , reporting four new cases of coronavirus in Nerja that, with the two detected last week, represent six positives in the last 14 days , and one total of 17 since the start of the pandemic.
In the Axarquía with 17 cases confirmed by PCR in the last 14 days, of which 16 are from the last week. In total, there are 252 cases of coronavirus in the region since the start of the pandemic, of which 195 have been cured.

Re: Coronavirus
There is now a Covid tracking system available in Spain. It looks like the Apple/Google system. It is listed in the app stores as Radar Covid.
The system goes live tomorrow.

Re: Coronavirus
None of the other countries systems seem to be very effective despite the propaganda. Within a few weeks of Germany launching theirs over 50,000 people deactivated it. None are popular with citizens, understandably.

Re: Coronavirus
Why is it unpopular? It is totally anonymous. It just tells you if you have been close to an infected person. What you do with that information is up to you.

Re: Coronavirus
Many do not believe the anonymity and fear data harvesting. In France only 2% of the population downloaded the app and 460,000 have since downloaded it! If it did work I could see many countries being in total lockdown. Even if we don’t have mad social lives the number of people we are in contact with weekly would be a lot, then the pyramid would widen so much most of the population would be isolating.

Re: Coronavirus
So how does it actualy work? Does someone contact them when they suspect they have the virus or after they have def been tested positive?
Re: Coronavirus
This is my understanding of how it works.
You instal the app on your phone, leave it running and have Bluetooth switched on. If you, or anybody else with the app, get Covid 19 then you inform the app and then whenever anybody else comes within Bluetooth range, about 10 mtrs, of the infected person then their app warns them.
Cheers
Gerry

Re: Coronavirus
I never have location or Bluetooth activated on any of my devices unless I specifically need them so in the very unlikely event that I decided to downloaded this app it wouldn't work anyway and it certainly could not be installed on my late 1990s Motorola clam phone which is all I ever take with me when I go out.
