I am still not finding the correct information that I am looking for. I need to see the Confirmed cases,Deaths etc for Ben Havis, Fuengirola, Marbella, Estepona,Manilva etc. I have viewed these two links you have me but do not know where to look for this information. Re: Coronavirus
There you go Peter. You don’t have to wear one!
They had to make an exception for things like COPD. I have a friend with it and he is permanently on an oxygen generator. He doesn’t like face masks either.

I don't usually wear one while out for a walk but I do when I go shopping so I expect to carry on the same way. Remember, It's not necessary while having a drink on a terrace. It will be interesting to see anyone trying to have a drink while wearing one.

Re: Coronavirus
Perhaps we should all read this published by Oxford University Press in 2011:
https://academic.oup.com/annweh/article/56/1/102/166254
It may take some time!
It particularly applies in Spain given the onset of summer temperatures particularly in the 'Frying pan of Andalucía'. It may do more harm to the otherwise healthy than the virus itself.

Re: Coronavirus
Ill be sticking to my villlage as much as possible or go out during siesta. Mind you nerja is pretty dead. Surprised how little was open the other day. hate wearing them. I walk around like a gold fish as it is due to hayfever and breathing into them makes you incredibly hot. Stood in a shop for five mins the other day i was sweating buckets. Im more concerned about the germs i'll give myself from them.

Re: Coronavirus
One by product of this is that folk will be more appreciative of the hell hay fever sufferers go through every year with masks and so on. I wonder if people will remember.

Re: Coronavirus
They will become the new norm just like in the Far East. No one will feel embarrassed by wearing one now and in the future..

Re: Coronavirus
Yes I think you're right Sid and it may just help cut down the incidences of other things such as seasonal flu also. I'm sure they can get hot and uncomfortable if worn for prolonged periods especially outdoors in the summer months but personally not found them much of a problem in an air conditioned Supermarket.

I see a market niche here for a mask with built in straw !
Re: Coronavirus
Been on the lookout for more masks as the farmacia charges 96c for one. Mercadona was supposed to be stocking them but didn't have any yesterday. Called into the little Carrefour in Nerja and found them 10 for 7.90€ but when I got them home and checked the packet you can guess where they were made! I am reusing them as otherwise we'll need to buy loads.
Found very few bars/restaurants open in Torrox or Nerja, but loads of clothes shops were open today in Nerja. Otherwise pretty dead everywhere. A couple of places open in Torrox are no way only seating 50% on their terrace, as the tables look to be normal distance apart.

Re: Coronavirus
Having so few bars open is a worry. These small business people were always some of the most venerable. I hope it's because they have decided to keep their staff furloughed until the end of the month and will start opening then. My local one is quite big with a massive terrace has been open all through selling bread and the like but still hasn't opened the terrace part yet.
Re: Coronavirus
We noticed that in torrox and nerja Went to a cafe that seemed to be arranged liked normal. But they were two mts apart so maybe they view it as one or the other?
Maybe alot of cafes etc are waiting for future phases where they can open inside etc. I dont know how the erte works but maybe if they reopen all staff have to come off it and most will end up on the paro instead. So the owners prefer to keep everyone on the erte until they can open up with full staff?

Re: Coronavirus
Employers can only put their staff on erte if they hold the job for the employee.
