Well you have a point. Perhaps someone could start another thread titled "Wot about the UK then" or similar.

Our local Spanish town had an arch of disinfection running today. Big queues to drive your car through it. Not a fine mist but droplets so notvery good coverage!

Shopping, driving, training: New deescalation measures go into effect in Spain on May 4
The government has published five ministerial orders outlining what activities are permitted as the country gradually deescalates its strict lockdown

Road transportation
In private cars and company vehicles whose main activity is not road freight transportation, with seating for up to nine people including the driver, it will be possible to seat two people in each row, as long as they wear face masks and keep the greatest possible distance between them.

And in 'el comercio' it says this: (https://www.elcomercio.es/sociedad/cuan ... 44-nt.html)

True lol. Lots of diff interpretations so im not risking it. Sites saying all thats changed is how many in the car and where you can sit. No change in the reasons for being in it ie going shoping.which i tend to agree with as thst rule is changing next week

Seems to be some confusion now over the rules. On 2 May El Pais printed this:
"The use of cars during Phase 1 will also be subject to regulations. Vehicles will be permitted to be occupied by up to nine people, provided that they all live in the same home. If the occupants of a vehicle do not live together, a limit of one person in each row of seats will apply, and they will have to wear masks."

Here Phase 1 isn't due to start until next week, all being well, so I was surprised to read that you can go out 2 in a car now.

Murcia today wrote “Some social media users have seized upon images published by various police forces which illustrate the correct use of facemasks in vehicles as evidence that from May 4th two people are allowed to travel together in a vehicle and shared them widely stating that two people can shop together from May 4th.

To confirm, this is NOT CORRECT.

The image widely used demonstrates how professionals and tradesmen can travel safely and how they must be seated when travelling to work.

The central image showing two people seated side by side relates to the use of a furgoneta, or box van, generally sold for commercial use and is NOT intended to show that couples can go shopping together.”
If I was manning a police roadblock I would be looking to fine spanish lad at least €4800 - €600 for each of the four for non-essential travel?

Doesnt stop our neighbours. One lot gone to their second home another off in the car together to be dropped off at haidressers etc no doubt as other half was back in ten mins. Then back out to pick them up and they both come back with their shopping.2 mins before they came back police local was sat in the street. Typical. If that were us they would have still be sat there as we pulled in and it would have been the guardia instead!
