New EHIC for S1 holders

Postby elusive » Tue Nov 10, 2020 5:04 pm

If you have a ehic and are in receipt of an S1 you need to apply for a new one regardless of how long is left on it,Inorder for you to be covered under the withdrawal treaty and so you can continue to use as normal after Dec 31st. Website has been crashing abit today so may take a while to get on.

Welcome!

If you an O.A.P and get spanish healthcare via an S1 then you can get a U.K EHIC to cover you if you go to other E.U countries on hols. It doesnt have an any connection to your spanish healthcare as It cant be used in Spain.

And if you have S1 you are covered in the UK when you visit - no need for EHIC.
