Why do your posts have to be so confrontational ?
Maybe it would be more constructive to explain why you disagree.

Confrontational......you must have a mirror? But anyway this is now well off topic.....so will leave you to work out why any number above Zero cannot possibly ever be 100% in context to my postmarkwilding wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 11:11 am Why do your posts have to be so confrontational ?

In addition sorting out the appointment was simple.
I got a text message to say I could book an appointment with a link to the website where I could easily do it. After setting up the appointment, I got another text message confirming it.
I arrived, they checked my name and then was asked some questions regard possible other medicines I was taking,
I had the injection and for 15 minute I waited in a hall with screens explaining certain details including the fact I still need to be careful because it would still be possible to catch the virus and pass it on and that It wouldn't start to be effective for about 3 weeks,

Your question is a gross invasion of privacy, I wouldn't dream of asking you in an open forum as to the success or otherwise of any erectile dysfunction treatment you may be undergoingmarkwilding wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 11:20 am So let's get back on topic,

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain
But the whole point of this thread is for people's experiences of having the vaccine.

Looks as though it is starting after Xmas day.

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain
I received a phone message re the vaccine on 12 April asking me to phone, presumably to make an appointment to have it done. I am 62. I know of a number of people in their 60s that have had it (the AZ) at the Velez Malaga feria ground where they have set up a marquee.

As was the case for the over 80s, in Malaga province they are now asking for anyone aged 75 or over who has not yet received an appointment for their first vaccination to ring the phone number relevant to their area, as listed in this article:-

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain
I met 3 neighbours this morning in their late 60s who have all been given their first shot this week. They got 1 day notice to come to the centro salud (I wonder how that will go when it comes to the working population) and they have all been given a second vaccine date in July.
I read somewhere that Andalucia had rejected the idea of delaying the second dose but it appears not to be so.

I had an injection yesterday at one days notice, second dose in three weeks exactly, 71, Torrox, Pfizer. No adverse reaction Yet.

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain
There was a proposal that the gaps between Pfizer jabs (which were 3 weeks) and Moderna (4 weeks) should be extended to 8 weeks - the gap with AstraZeneca (which is what people in their 60s are getting) has always been 12 weeks and the proposal wouldn't have affected that. It wasn't just Andalucia who rejected that proposal, it was the Spanish Public Health Commission which has representatives from all the autonomous communities.

I got a week's notice when given my appointment for the AZ jab, my husband got 24 hours' notice of his Moderna one.

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain
Yes it's a 12 week gap for the AZ so anyone having the first in the next few weeks won't have the second until July/August time. Not sure if you go onto a list for another make of jab if you refuse the AZ which I and a number of friends have done due to thrombosis problems. No that I fancy any of them TBH but maybe I won't be offered it again.
Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain
On Facebook someone posted on a friends page (Spain) that they attended for their vaccine appointment and when they were 4th from the front it was announced the centre had run out of vaccines. Maybe bad administration or queue jumping?

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain
Wicksey it would be silly not to offer you a different jab, the whole point is to get as many people vaccinated as possible, even if the only intention was to get the economy up and running without covid causing problems.Wicksey wrote: ↑Sat Apr 24, 2021 11:39 am Yes it's a 12 week gap for the AZ so anyone having the first in the next few weeks won't have the second until July/August time. Spanish news are reporting a 30 something solider has died after a reaction to A.Z
Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain
I phoned the number as my OH hasn't had a phone call to have the jab (I have decided I don't want one) and it must be some sort of central number for the Axarquia. The nice woman on the other end said she would advise our local health centre at Vinuela and my OH woukd get a phone call with an appointment. Hasn't happened yet so I suppose we'll go down to the health centre some time this coming week and try and sort one out for him. All our friends here have had their first jab.Free at Last wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 5:27 pm As was the case for the over 80s, in Malaga province they are now asking for anyone aged 75 or over who has not yet received an appointment for their first vaccination to ring the phone number relevant to their area, as listed in this article:-
