Has anyone resident here noticed anti British feelings? Over the last couple of weeks we have.

Talking to some Spanish friends yesterday we picked up on :

EU hasn’t let European countries down

Britain has got more than their fair share of vaccine.

Meanwhile faith in vaccines particularly in Europe and the AZ is at a low. What an own goal Brussells and a few countries like Germany and France have scored. Millions of doses of the not for profit AZ just sitting not being used.

WW3? Might be closer than we think. Has anyone been watching the latest 200 ( so called fishing boats) crewed my military in the South China Seas? Wait till they let out the military grade version of Corona Virus having softened up and wrong footed the world with CV19 lite.

Millions of doses stockpiled at the AZ site in the Netherlands due to the company not being authorised by the EU. Couldn’t make it up. Excuse not enough data provided, think we heard that before.

Why is the EU not up in arms about the delays to the Johnson one shot jab..It looks like Spain was expecting it to be in the country next month but there is going to be a long delay. This has put a spoke in their vaccination roll out but whats the betting that AZ will come under more EU fire.

What a blunder...todays news, during a private meeting with Tory MP's BJ said greed and capitalism helped the Uk's vaccine success, apparently he withdrew the comment as fast as he said it. The EU will be all over this..BJ must be fuming but he doesn't have the best record when it comes to choosing his words wisely, however its a bad situation when one of your MP'S goes running off to leak something that could potentially cause so many more problems with the EU..and to think we are paying these irresponsible idiots to run the country. :wtf:

Boris is an idiot, was always putting his foot in it when he was Foreign Minister. Not even true either, firstly AZ is sold at cost price and the UK has donated £570 million to COVAX., more than any other Country.

Italian Police has raided an Italian AZ' bottling plant (Did they wear brown shirts). Now claimed that the 29 million vaccines are for COVAX for developing countries.

Things seem to have descended to playground level with Macron saying that France will match the UK's vaccination numbers within weeks. Is it all just a game and a big boys competition, then? A bit like 'My go-kart is better than yours. It's got bigger pram wheels."

I read yesterday that Novovax are delaying the signing of a contract with the EU because of all the smearing of Astra Zeneca. France may find it difficult to persuade it’s Citizens given what has happened during the past few months.

Agreed Katy. The way things are going in my part of Spain we will not all be vaccinated this side of next Christmas and there are many, many people who are saying they will not bother as they never go anywhere anyway and even if they got it they will get over it etc, etc. There is HUGE apathy and the political fighting is making people even more sceptical about the whole thing. One Spanish friend asked me this morning, if the virus is so deadly then why is there all this political stalling to vaccinate the population? People have just lost interest in it all.

OTH did his usual fourtnightly calls to Spain yesterday. His sister told him vaccinations have stepped up in her area and his father has had his 2nd jab, you would think so by now at the age of 94..Her other news was that over the past few days there have been over 1,300 parties in Madrid, guess that fits in with lost interest. If infection rates rise it will be hard to know if it was the french coming in or Spanish people causing it themselves..When he spoke to his brother the conversation was partly about the Italian raid and how they discovered millions of vaccines destined for the Uk.They don't always follow up on stories and when OTH told him what the outcome was his brother wasnt convinced.Such is the power of the media..

Third wave, fourth wave ? I saw a joke somewhere along the lines of which is the odd one out? A German, Frenchman, Swiss man or a Spaniard. Answer is the Spaniard. He can’t even leave his province whereas the rest can go to Spain on holiday.

No parties around here.

It's a merry go round, now Germany are suspending the use of AZ vaccine for the under 60's..Spain has authorised the vaccine for use in the under 65's..How long before they change their minds and follow Germany.

I don’t see them changing their minds at they are already using AZ up to 65. The people over 65 will get the other two until the Johnson vaccine arrives. My wife had the Modena vaccine last week. Minor side effects after 3 days. Just tiredness etc. Went off after 12 hours.

Perhaps AstraZeneca thinks that changing its name will help!

Another push by Merkel and Macron to obtain the Sputnik. Maybe the plan all along as a sweetener for the gas pipeline. AZ should have dropped ‘Oxford’ from it’s launch. Beginning to look like there is an agenda.

Yep! It's not about saving lives or the NHS. It's about saving politicians' careers.

Australia still complaining that Brussels have blocked their orders. Now revealed that the UK has sent 700,000 doses to Australia although a UK Minister said a few weeks ago they hadn’t sent any.

Rebellion in Madrid against AstraZeneca. Two out of three people did not keep their appointment on Thursday:

Can you blame them, one min they are not vaccinating the over 65's with AZ then its banned for the under 60's but it's ok for those aged between 60 and 69..confidence must be at an all time low.
