Booster Jab

Postby daveboy » Thu Nov 04, 2021 12:43 pm

I have just had my booster jab in the UK. 1st two were Pfizer and booster was Moderna. I asked why a different brand and nurse said it gives you a better immunity. Ok do it then.
I was talking to friend later this morning and it turns out he had 3 Pfizer jabs. I think they are giving us whatever they want and making a case up as they go along.
The bonus is no side effects.

We are going to Antigua. Have to go to Gatwick today for PCR test they do it in your car. £59 each. Downloading everything on paper too. So 2 trips to Airport. At least you could do it on arrival at Gibraltar and result in about 15 mins. Finding it hard to get in holiday mode.

You will be ok when you get there Katy..i know the hassle of testing and form filling does take the edge off looking forward to your hols.....i think most people who travel are sick to the teeth of it all and It does put people off from travelling who would otherwise be off...The recovery of the Travel industry has quite a way to go.

It's done, largely, on availability. There is some evidence that mixing them offers a little more protection. I would take what you are offered and as has been highlighted we will need many more of these and will probably be a large variety of different vaccines

Take what you are offered! i think there is growing evidence that some people who have already been double jabbed are not as willing to have one vaccine after another jabbed into their arm...

I know quite a number of people who will not have the booster, same as your wife, a few were quite poorly...Others, because they never expected to be getting jabbed for a 3rd time after only 6 months since their last vaccine and this has made people nervous and suspicious, people are not following as easily as they once were.

Just out of interest, if a person has resisted having the vaccine up until now but has changed their mind, would they only have the booster jab, seeing as the other two have not been effective? Or, would they have to have all three, in order, even though that seems totally pointless given what we now know?

And the evidence that they haven’t been effective? I thought that the vaccines reduced the severity of Covid if contracted.

Has there been any credible studies of the incidence of Covid in groups?

The deniers

The vaccinated

Those of each group that act wantonly and conversely those that take extra care ( eg avoiding contact, public spaces and religiously use masks and proper hand washing.

My answer to your question would be vaccination in the same format as the programme. First vaccine, followed by second at the appropriate interval with a booster six months later approx.

Amazing how figures can be so misleading. From the article link you post and a grab of their graph you'll see that the overwhelming majority that died were in Jan-feb and early March when precious few had received the vaccine let alone 2 shots so obviously they died unvaccinated :shh: Be interesting to see a similar breakdown in March of this Nov, Dec, Jan but we already know they are going to be fudged

Please keep all these conspiracy theories and statistics in the New Religion thread.

People need to make up their own minds about whether to have the booster jab without negative views from the tiny minority views on this forum.

would be 1st 2nd then booster in that order. So not fully vaccinated for 6 months from 1st jab. The booster is what it says, a booster for 1st 2 jabs.

Statistics and dammed Statistics. The figures go upto sept so alot of people were fully vaccinated by late spring. (late 40's in june)i suppose theres a break down for the later months or will be. Just posting what the person asked for. Personally it makes no difference to me i dont care either way as im well off a booster jab and have more chance of winning the bote tonight (must check my ticket! then getting seriously ill with covid.

Exactly, The booster is more or less the same in Spain as the 1st and 2nd one, except if you had the AS. In this case, a different one will be offered. It's quite simple really and the basic principle is no different to taking a second or third aspirin when the effects start to wear off with a headache backache or toothache.

Booster jabs are nothing new either, one example I can think of is the tetanus shot.

People in my age group, the over 60s, should soon be in line to have their 3rd (booster) jab soon,

Very good analogy as Aspirin just helps to relieve the pain. It doesn't stop you getting it.

Here's another analogy. If you buy a product twice and they both stop working after a few months you certainly wouldn't buy it a third time.

Additionally, a tetanus booster is needed every ten years not every few months..
Let's go Brandon!
