Champions league final

Postby markwilding » Sat May 28, 2022 7:17 pm

For those who don't have access to BT Sport, Spanish TVE 1 is showing the match live this evening.
It might also be possible also be to watch it on BT's YouTube channel with a VPN or DNS but I can't confirm this until closer to kick off.

Sat here last night quite happily watching the game in my Louis Figo shirt I bought in Nerja in 2004. Reds in the paper shop this morning all very glum, yet I'm still recovering from a very happy hangover for finishing 16th last week

OTH was delighted that his team won, he has been a staunch Real Madrid fanatic all of his life..Felt sorry for fans who had been trapped in a bottle neck trying to get into the game, children being caught up in the tear gas and pepper spray, must of been very frightening for them and their parents. Of course there will have been fake tickets, just like any event, that's nothing new. I doubt an investigation and the usual lessons learnt will change anything, it never does.

Real madrid seem to be the man united of Spain. Dont support your local team just glory hunt. At least when i was in cuenca for the final it was abit nearer madrid than malaga!

True,
Real Madrid are not the most favoured team in these parts. Quite a few locals were cheering on Liverpool for that very reason. It seems you either love them or hate them.
I would rather anyone beat the Madrid teams or Barcelona. A few years back I went to the Nou Camp to watch a match with my son. All around us were other tourists supporting Barcelona but we wanted Recreativo de Huelva to win, which of course they didn't.

It wasn't always that way, only really since I moved to Spain, When I lived in London I saw Barcelona win their first champions league or European cup as it was called then. On that day I wanted them to win.
