Hi Mavis :D We have been in Marilyn Monroes bar when we've been to Benalmadena. I really like it in there too.

Hi Retro, the bar is in The Silica hotel complex not far from Bonanza Square. As Mavis said it is a quieter more relaxing place than some of the bars around The Square. It is a bit more expensive for drinks and they don't serve food, but it is nice to go there to chill out, open til late too. The owner has a bit of a fixation on MM tho hence the name :D

My current favourite is the Bonanza Bar, new owners, re-decorated, now much better. Good spread of entertainment as well.

Jenny,
I have gone off prawns, bought a huge frozen pack of them last time we were out for about 5e, quite forgetting I have only a matchbox -sized freezer compartment. They were cooked but unpeeled, and by the end of the week I had had a prawn overdose. plus I was fed up of pulling off their heads etc.

So, now my favourite bar is the one that serves, battered calamari rings, sandwich and chips, and the plate of bread with smoked ham, topped with a lightly fried quails egg and a fetching squiggle of tomato sauce.

Need I say, all free with any cold drink!

Unfortunately now back in U.K., it's back to cottage cheese salads, I do not want to be paying excess baggage if they decide to charge flights by personal weight!
However I do know that 15mins skipping burns off the equivalent calories of a large G&T. So if anyone sees a red -faced woman, skipping, drinking G&T's and stuffing her face with tapas in a Spanish bar, run like hell!

Concorde,
Fantastic reply, to be honest I don't like prawns, but my other half does, you should see his face when they arrive on our table cos he knows he can have my share also, but like I've said before I do like to treat him sometimes.
