Restaurants in Cadiz and Jerez
Does anyone have any recommendations for inexpensive but good restaurants in Cadiz or Jerez. We are going to spend a few days there early next week and, although I've got guide books, I find it's often better to have a personal recommendation.
Many thanks

the hordes will be enjoying the beach in Cadiz. If you are down on Playa Victoria not too far from the Hotel Playa Victoria on Paseo Maritimo there is a nice restaurant on the sea road called ARTE SERRANO. has a biggish menu and many tables but at this time it will be busy from 2pm onwards so if you are after a relaxing lunch get there early.http://www.arteserrano.com/
That restaurant is in the 'new town' - if you are in the old town then have a look at Balandro at Alameda Apodaca, 22, They have a web site also. http://www.restaurantebalandro.com/

Thanks flan taster! We are actually going to Paseo Maritimo, so the recommendation is spot on! Much appreciated.flan_taster wrote:the hordes will be enjoying the beach in Cadiz. In another forum, the boss there recommends the following for tapas in Cádiz.
In Cadiz we ate at Cumbres Mayores, the best tapas bar in town,

We had a wonderful meal last weekend at the Sabores restaurant in Jerez. Good regional ingredients but done in original ways, for example fantastic foie gras with balsamic vinegar jelly and plums. The restaurant is near the Flamenco museum and in the Hotel Chancelerilla -the owners made us very welcome-a good place to stay and eat for a special occasion.

El Faro in the old town, superb fresh seafood and very, very good service, by Spanish standards, not cheap but it won't break the bank.
Ah! the full english!!
