New Seafood in Velez
New Seafood in Velez
Just seen that a new seafood restaurant has opened in Plaza Carmen in Velez Malaga. It is where the Italian used to be. Havnt tried it yet but will probably have a look tomorrow.. It is called Domi. Not sure if it has something to do with the Domi Fish Shop in Calle Canalejas.

I think it may well do, because there has been a sign in the window of the frozen fish shop in C/Canalejas for the past week or so advertising for waiters and cooks - I had been wondering why they would need them in a shop, so there's that mystery solved!truebrit wrote:Just seen that a new seafood restaurant has opened in Plaza Carmen in Velez Malaga. I get so incensed that the Spanish do not bother to advertise when they open a new restaurant or bar. They just expect people to walk through the door. Whilst on the subject the bar in the alley way by Bar Francis which was Bohemia 2 for 4 months has just reopened. Being run by a Brazilian so could be interestind. It has been open for A week now but never seen it advertised or for that matter with its doors open. The only sign is one saying that they close on Monday.? Sorry no name(Velez Malaga)

Went to take a look. Really nicely done. It is a beautiful venue. Lovely cloisterd ceilings. It is run by the couple who own the fish shop Domi. Going for lunch tomorrow. Menu good, as were the prices.

Had a lovely lunch. Lots of fresh fish (Salmon, Tuna, Dorada, Lubina) as well as shellfish, 3 different sorts of prawns, mussels......They were quite busy but people were served reasonably quickly. Would definately recommend and go back again.
