cds

Postby wollie » Sat Mar 17, 2018 9:52 am

I wonder if anyone here is old enough to remember these things, i have loads of these things and prefer.
My question is in an older 1983 car with very good quality player, it will play original shop bought cds,
however when i burn the original to a copy it will not play.
Has anyone come across this? does anyone have a solution??

Many thanks....

Did you finalise the copy after you had burnt it?

I should have said in my original post that it works in the house player but not in the car player.
I think its a good player that was in the car when i bought it, could it be that smart?

Thanks...

It's quite common for burnt cds not to work in car cd players. Car CD players are normally quite basic, even the so-called good makes.

It seems my original comment incorrect, its not that the player it is that it has not the pick up technology of the newer stuff.
I believe that it is possible to adjust the burn speed and i will try this, its really not too important but i prefer as then i do not
need to look after...

Many Older CD and DVD players don’t playback CDs created on computers. However, some will only play CDr others will play CDrw so it might be woth trying a different format to the one you have already recorded on. It might just work.
