Kerbut, you made my day. I was howling with laughter picturing you all trying to get the bed in through the roof terrace hahaha

We bought quite a lot of furnishings from Ikea including beds, which were the largest part of the $3000 U.S. we spent.

Very happy with the Ikea beds although putting together the frame with its suspension was a bit of a challenge.

As time went on (it's been 5 years now) we did regret some of the pieces we bought there as well as the effect of living in an "Ikea house". Have a good look at the floor models and even contemplate how easy it would be for you to assemble yourself.

One of the best things about Ikea are their reasonable delivery charges (based on the value of the purchased items, not necessarily their weight/size or situation of your delivery destination).

Some really useful posts on this thread. I would agree that memory foam is just too hot for most of the year, unless it 's the new technology latex or the "open foam" mattresses

we just bought a bed and matress from "don-dormilon" *they have one branch in la trocha, coin, and another at carrefour los patios, malaga. Its a canape bed, 150 x 190, and visco matress - summer & winter. it was 499 euros on offer, including delivery. (and they brought it into the bedroom and built it, so i had to do nothing except pay for it.

I had forgotten the fun the delivery man had getting our bed base in the old house, in the end it was hauled up with a rope over the upstairs patio!

No playground, no offence intended, meant as a touch of humour.

No, it was a bed salesman who just joined to advertise his beds.

The relevant post was deleted which is probably why you thought it was Gus.

Sorry if it confused you.
