Not sure if this is allowed......

Postby IreneD » Thu Jul 10, 2014 11:50 am

I spotted this book on facebook, recommended by a friend but I haven'tread it myself and don't know the author so not sure if I should put it here. It's free today and has some good reviews but obviously Sidor Beachy, zap it if it is breaking any rules..

Just downloaded it onto my wife's Kindle.
Told her it was a present for her and cost me a lot of money.

Thanks! I don't have a Kindle but their app is good for both desktop and phone - I'll enjoy reading about the dramas and delights

Read the first chapter so far, good. Thanks Irene, I have passed on the link to others who may be interested but I had to download it from Amazon.com as it is not accessible on the UK site in Spain. At least, not for me.

I did not realise you could read Kindle books on an Android. I prefer real books and I am not keen on reading in this way so I have never tried it before but can't complain if it is free!

Reading books on a tablet or whatever may well grow on you, Beachcomber. :) I much prefer it now. I have a Blackberry Playbook with a Kindle app and because it was registered in the UK, I can download from Amazon UK Well, I assume that's how I am able to do it.

I ordered it on my PC then accessed it with my tablet. It doesn't really matter as the same log in details work for all Amazon sites.

Getting used to reading books on a tablet? Not sure about that!

Thanks Irene, it reminded me to download some books for my holiday. I just wish they would make phones (or perhaps they do? ) with such an easy to read in the sunlight screen, as a Kindle.
PS Firsttango It was definitely free last night.

firsttango, yes - the books don't usually stay free. I probably wouldn't have got it if it had cost money :D I haven't started it yet, got so many to read but will give it a try soon.

The free book is a promotional thing that Amazon does - the author givesthem exclusive rights, and in return Amazon allows them to 'give away' their book, but for only one day at a time, tho they may do it several times.

It obviously works, as now there are more people, just on this forum, who have heard of the author & can spread the word :D

If you want to find more free eBooks, there are loads of sites, but this is the one I use :
