taking furniture

Postby vix2000 » Wed Mar 17, 2021 9:19 pm

Hi we has planned bringing a van load of furniture to our house last year but with the lockdown we couldn't do it. We already have a van and We had planned to bring it when restrictions are lifted but have just realised there may be a problem now we are no longer in the EU, and we are not residents of Spain. Can anyone tell me what the situation would be, we were planning to sail to Santander.

To move to spain now you have to apply for a visa before you leave the uk. You need a job offer or a shedload of cash...

The days of packing up and driving down are gone...

Bringing the furniture to a holiday home? You will have to wait until you are allowed in. They are currently banned until the end of march. Theres also been some customs issues re bringing things such as furniture over. Having to make a declaration list of everything you are carrying etc and possible charges.

Maybe contact a local haulage company to pick their brains on the new rules. Asking as a possible client
