Furnishing new home in Rincón de la Victoria, Malaga

Postby malagaexpat » Mon May 02, 2022 11:33 am

Hi all,

We just moved to our new home.

Our house is quite empty at the moment and I'd like to hear if you have some ideas on reliable furniture stores around the area? Quick delivery, quality items and English speaking staff would make it perfect. And some scandinavic design would't hurt

Any help here is much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.
If you want Scandinavian design then Ikea, a Swedish company, in Malaga might be of interest?

We bought some decent stuff from a Scandanavian store in Caleta - if they are still there?

Not cheap but good stuff and they have some quite unusual bits.

Thank you everyone! This is a very good forum, I've found many answers here already before posting anything!

Ikea we actually used for bare necessities right away in but otherwise I'm looking for something else. Now that I think of it, everything doesn't have to be too Scandinavic after all, but it just happens to be the direccion we end up quite often.

Muebles Pirámides I actually found through this forum earlier, but now the site doesn't seem to be working, almost every page is giving internal server error there.

And may I suggest that you look in the many secondhand-vintage-antique-charity shops for brilliant classic design items ,often Scandinavian and mid-century superb quality and realistic prices.

I rarely buy any new furniture or decorative items, and apart from electrical goods most of our home furnishings have had previous lives.

You can create a stunning home by seeking classic items and I advise taking your time and you will build a home that you will be so proud of and you will feel the history of your surroundings as you relax in your new home....
Saludos,
Gordon

Thank you Gordon for your message,

Actually this is exactly how I roll usually, but at this point we are working full days in almost empty house and guests are coming in soon :)

So we just need to get some basics in order as effortlessly as possible.

Oh, I would love to go around in those shops mentioned and we'll most definitely do that when we move on with this project. In my home, there has rarely been anything brand new and I just love the history of old furniture.
