Although we have towns water it fills a large blue plastic tank and is then pumped to house which is higher than tank.
So today I get a call saying no water, the manager looks inside tank and says is empty! water company has been on the urb since first thing says must be something wrong with pumping station their side of the meter and trying to fix it.
My question is does anyone know if there is some sort of external gauge that can be fitted so someone doesn't have to unscrew lid?

Well I have read it, reread it, and still have no idea how it can work! Do you just dangle the 11-core cable in the tank?

Re: Water problem
Fit a tap to the bottom of the water tank, and connect a clear plastic tube which is long enough to reach just above the top of the tank, fix this tube to the outside of the tank. Open the tap and hey presto, a water level indicator.
