Copper pipe insulation
Good morning all.
I don't remember ever seeing copper pipe insulation in any of the suppliers I have been to - the foam type for 15mm and 22mm.
I have to go to Malaga shortly, so any suggestions for any of the suppliers around the airport area?
I have tried searching on Brico site etc but no joy.
Thanks
Barry

I'm fairly certain I have seen it in Leroy Merlin and/or Bahaus.

First comment is as usual we could help more if the OH put his location on the profile....any decent plumbers' merchant will stock them. I bought from the Roca agent on the Velez-Málaga poligono, but the big bricolaje stores have it.

Agree with POR, we got ours at the local fontanero in a village of less than 3000 inhabitants.

Agree it would be better to put Location in Profile........but OP has at least put it in his handle.
Alcala Barry = Barry from Alcala la Real (or close )
Would have thought it was available locally ............

Then again alcala simply means a citadel, so there could be a few around...or of course there is "Rodney James Alcala (born Rodrigo Jacques Alcala Buquor; August 23, 1943) is a convicted rapist and serial killer. He was sentenced to death in California in 2010"

Re: Copper pipe insulation
Good afternoon.
With the greatest of respect, I thought that I had made it very clear that I was looking for a stockist in the vicinity of Malaga Airport, not locally. As I have to visit Bauhaus, Brico Depot and others, I thought it would make sense to try and get the insulation from one of them, as it is not avaialble in the places that I use locally. Also, their websites don't seem to support specific items to search for.
However, thank you all for your replies.

Re: Copper pipe insulation
If you get no joy in Malaga, there is a huge ferreteria/builders merchants just off the A7 at Rincon de la Victoria (Jn 254 iirc). It's called Cano.
Also, for real heavy duty insulation, I notice that most of the pool floaty-tubes now have a hole down the middle.....really colourful insulation, colour-coded if you so desire.
My local ferreteria (Sebastian's, in Algarrobo) stocks the standard grey foam stuff, in both 15 and 22mm.
Also, don't forget the chain of big plumbers merchants Proinco - one in Malaga up on the poligono opposite the breakers' yards, and another branch of the same in Velez-Malaga, behind Peugeot.

Re: Copper pipe insulation
Rest assured Barry...you will definitely get it at Bricomart, turn right when you go in the door and it's on the right...two metre lengths, all bores.

Re: Copper pipe insulation
Thanks Enrique. I have been in La Llave a few times and they are very helpful, but I specifically want to buy all of a particular job in one go in Malaga if possible.
Conutry Boy. Thanks for that info as I want to buy a lot of other items in there as well. Their prices for copper pipe seem very good.

bricomart is a national / international company, not an independant
