Hi just been quoted €3,300 for a heater for my 8*4m pool, 60,000 liters.
Sounds like an awful lot of money! Anyone know of a good local installer to get an alternative quote. Frigiliana campo house.

The price depends on the output. If you fit the full recommended unit it may well look expensive.. if you fit a smaller one it will save money but won’t get quite as hot.
They are not cheap generally but I imagine installation is complicated.
Having installed one a solar bubble cover is essential to keep in the heat.
Make sure your potencia is up to it or that could be a problem.

Thanks. Got a pool cover. Just want to get it up to 28C in April and September/October.

Re: Pool inverter heater
Well that’s probably not a huge increase on what you would get without it. Maybe a cheaper lower powered unit could do that. The supplier should be able to advise you on that. Many people with pool heaters expect all year round heating.

Re: Pool inverter heater
oh you´d be surprised, big boxxy thing about a metre cube, cut a metre section from the return off the pump/filter, elbow to some 50mm flex to the inlet of the heater, same back to the pipe the other side... and then plug it in.
Obviously there are more "complicated" ways to install it- personally i´d have a couple of valves too, so that i could shut it off or something to work on it / bypass it etc.
They only heat when the filter/pump are running... which i always thought was quite strange. Surely you´d want it to be heating more than that?

Re: Pool inverter heater
I’m not surprised. The so called salt pools require you to run the pump to generate enough chlorine. I guess you just tailor the pump time to get the temperature you want. The cost of running the pump will be far less that the electricity used by the heater.
